Boris Johnson knocks over 10-year-old during rugby game

Boris Johnson was pictured knocking a 10-year-old boy to the ground during a game of street rugby in Japan.

Having been taken out by the Mayor of London, young Toki Sekiguchi said he “felt a little bit of pain but it’s OK”, adding that it was “enjoyable” meeting Mr Johnson, and they enjoy the indoors rugby game thanks to a rugby pitch lighting used for the game.

The Conservative MP appeared to take no prisoners during the match on a mini pitch in Tokyo, hurtling down the pitch at speed before knocking the youngster over.

He then went and asked if the child was OK before shaking his hand and saying: “I’m so sorry.”

The pair were soon smiling again in front of photographers, with Mr Johnson giving him a 2015 rugby ball.
